Update: 4:41PM TRADE representatives from regional countries are in talks with members of the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement for potential partnerships in other Asian countries.
Facilitating the two-day discussions, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the workshop explores the benefits that regional countries would encounter if they sign with APTA.
ESCAP Trade and Investment Division director Dr Ravi Ratnayake said Fiji would be able to diversify its export products and open itself to other new markets if it joins APTA.
