THE pool stage of the Crest Fiji Primary School Netball Tournament has been completed, with top teams in each grade securing their places in the quarter-finals at Subrail Park in Labasa.
In the under-9 grade, Nadroga finished unbeaten to top Pool A with eight points, confirming their place in the knockout stage. They are joined by other pool leaders including Nadi Giants in Pool B, Nasinu Celeste in Pool C, Suva Libra in Pool D, Lautoka Maroons and Cakau Sharks in Pool E, and Nadi Jets and Lautoka Gold from Pool F.
The under-10 division also wrapped up with strong performances across the pools. Cakau Tagimoucia and Kadavu topped Pool A, while Navosa led Pool B.
Lautoka Maroons, Cakau Sharks and Suva Libra were among other pool leaders to progress, alongside Labasa Mystics who finished on top of Pool F.
In the under-11 grade, Lautoka Maroons in Pool A, Nasinu Celeste in Pool B and Cakau Tagimoucia in Pool C all finished strongly to book quarter-final spots.
Kadavu edged Pool D, while Navosa topped Pool E. Nadroga and Suva Libra also progressed from Pool F after finishing level on points.
Kadavu led Pool A and Lautoka Gold topped Pool B in the under-12 division. Nadi Giants and Labasa Mystics shared top spot in Pool D, while Suva Velvet, Suva Orchid and Suva Libra also secured qualification after leading their respective pools.
In the under-13 grade, Nasinu Celeste, Lautoka Gold and Nadi Jets were among the top teams progressing after finishing strongly in their pools.
Cakau Sharks, Lautoka Maroons, Nadi Giants, Suva Orchid and Kadavu also confirmed their places in the quarter-finals.
The under-14 grade saw Suva Orchid dominate Pool A, with Kadavu also progressing.
Other pool winners advancing include Cakau Pearls in Pool B, Serua in Pool C, Lautoka Maroons in Pool D, Namosi Blues in Pool E, Tailevu in Pool F and Cakau Tagimoucia in Pool G. Navosa and Cakau Sharks also moved through after finishing tied in Pool H.
Primary schools netball president Sisilia Cokanauto said the level of competition had been high across all grades, with teams showing determination throughout the pool stage.
The tournament now shifts focus to the elimination rounds, where teams will now focus on taking trophies home
