Queensland Reds Lock forward, Seru Uru reflected on the tough match against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, acknowledging the challenge of playing on their home turf.

Despite the Reds best efforts, the Drua side secured a notable 28-19 victory in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Saturday.

The former Ratu Kadavulevu School student says the experience was especially challenging for him as the Drua boys fought hard and maintained a lead throughout the match.

“We gave it our all until the last minute, but ultimate credit goes to the Drua team for their strong performance,” said Uru.

“We will be going back looking back at our mistakes, focusing on improving our set pieces, line-outs, ball handling, carrying, and clean-outs in preparation for our next game against Western Force.

“I need also to work on my breakdown work, running lines, and defence, as I have been recovering from an injury for the past few weeks, it’s important for me to regain my fitness and contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming matches.”

Meanwhile, the Queensland Reds will be up against Western Force on Saturday, May 25 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, while the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will face Highlanders at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Sunday.
