4R FC of Ba and Lautoka’s Ray United FC have secured their places in the final playoff of the Dayals Sawmillers National Club Championship from the Western zone.
Ray United confirmed their spot after a strong 3-1 win over Nadroga’s Downtown FC in their final round-robin match yesterday. The Blues finished unbeaten with two wins and a draw.
4R FC also booked their place after a mixed but determined campaign. They opened with a 3-0 win over Downtown FC, went down 2-3 to Ray United, and bounced back yesterday with a dominant 5-1 victory over Nadi’s Army Delta FC.
4R FC manager Naheed Nabi thanked his players and officials for the effort.
“Thanks to Almighty, we have achieved our aims. The referees were wonderful and it was a tough match from our opposition,” he said.
