TABADAMU rugby, Brothers and SR Ubuntu are three men’s teams to look out for at the 2nd Epic 7s tournament underway at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
Tabadamu had a perfect three from three wins after day one, beating Flying Tigers from Lautoka 21-7, thumped Gideon Brothers 26-0 and closed out with a 19-5 win over Mt Horeb Brothers. Brothers which won plate at the Coral Coast 7s last weekend is also on a winning trajectory beating Army FTG 12-7 and later defeating Bula Brothers 24-5.
Semi Radradra’s Ubuntu rugby team has also had a strong outing, edged Vunimono Eels 7-5, and later went on to thump Flame Tree Navatuvula 24-0.
“We are happy with the turnout of teams and supporters on the first day of the tournament. We had two teams that did not show up because of their involvement in the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s tournament but other than that we are grateful to the teams that are here supporting our aim of building our church,” tournament coordinator Vilitati Galivia said.
The eliminations round will be completed today before the top eight teams are confirmed for the quarter-finals. The tournament ends today.
