RAICHELMIYO Bativakalolo who co-captained Japan’s women’s sevens team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics was in the country last week to give back to a primary school some training gears for students.

She arrived last week with her sister Ateca Bativakalolo and donated rugby balls and other sporting gear to the students of Jagindra Singh Primary School in Tacirua, Nasinu.

The girls who hail from Naicabecabe Village in Moturiki, Lomaiviti described their visit as a trip they love to take every year to return home and also visit relatives.

“We are very happy to be in Fiji because we came to help our Fijian brothers and sisters in the primary school and rugby is Fiji’s game so we thought of returning to give back to the community,” Raichelmiyo said.

Their dad Apisai Bativakalolo described his daughters as good rugby players and he has been their coach since primary school days in Japan.
