The national quarter-finals are set to take place at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on April 13 in week 11 of the school term.

The Fiji Secondary School Rugby League (FSSRL) national vice-president admin Naisa Cama Toko said they were presently in week eight of term one and were still conducting zonal playoffs.

“On Tuesday, southern zone elimination matches were deferred from the previous Saturday due to unplayable ground conditions,” said Mr Toko.

“The winners of these matches will qualify for the southern zone quarter-finals, which are scheduled for the upcoming Saturday, pending a final decision based on the weather as per the Ministry of Education directive.

“The other four elimination matches that were scheduled for Wednesday this week for the southern zone had to be postponed indefinitely due to closure of schools.

“The two zone presidents, western zone and southeast zone, will be making the final decisions on the next future schedule of matches for their respective zones and will be informing school heads by this morning. In the western zone, the zone quarter-finals were completed last Saturday at Lawaqa Park.
