SAI Tokalau emerged victorious after the Merchant Finance White Tee Classic golf meet at the Fiji Golf Club in Suva on Saturday.
Tokalau was first place in the A Grade with 72 points on count back, while Lloyd Williams tied in second with 72 points on count back.
David Qiolevu was third with 73 points.
In the B grade, Michael Nacola came first with 69 points, Mark Jacobs in second on count back with 71 points, tied with Alex Konrote in third on countback.
Semiti Raikuna was first in the C grade with 66 points, Nathan Browne in second with 69 points, and Rodman Simpson in third with 72 points on countback.
The ladies category saw Bulou Gavidi emerge as overall champion with 65 points on countback, Lusiana Leqa tied in second with a countback and Natalia Evans in third with 67 points.
Seeing the nearest-to-the-pin, David Whitehead achieved that at the second hole while Sikipio Fihaki did so at the 16th hole.
In the junior grade, Mohammed Fawaz was crowned the winner after attaining a nett score of 90.
The Merchant Finance-sponsored stroke event saw a total of 100 golfers start off on the tee with Fawaz being the only junior competitor.
On Sunday, the Birdies for Bucks competition was in full swing, played in two-men Ambrose format with a $13,000 prize purse in store as competition teed off 10am after an hour of registration.
Meanwhile, the club brims with more activity this Saturday as another event sponsored by freight company DHL is scheduled for competition.
