The Next Generation Holdings Fiji Pte Limited (TNG Fiji) has announced a new round of public consultation sessions for its proposed Energy-from-Waste Plant and private port facility at Vuda Point.

The sessions form part of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) review process, following earlier consultations held in January.

TNG Fiji is inviting residents of Vuda, Saweni, Dreketi, Lautoka and surrounding areas, along with other stakeholders, to attend the meetings.

The company said the sessions will provide updates on the project, including findings from the Environmental Impact Assessment submitted to the Department of Environment in March.

“These sessions offer an important opportunity for local communities and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the proposed development, ask questions, and share feedback,” the notice stated.

Consultation sessions are scheduled for April 18 at Viseisei Village, April 19 at Naikorokoro (project site), and April 20 at Lauwaki Village.

TNG Fiji said community participation is vital to ensure views and concerns are considered as part of the assessment process.

Interested participants are encouraged to RSVP and attend the sessions to engage directly with project representatives.
