Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Commander Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai shares the Government’s vision for a peaceful, prosperous and secure Fiji for all.
Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Pio Tikoduadua told the media in Suva this afternoon that he had a pleasant meeting with Major-Gen Kalouniwai today.
“He has briefed me on the demilitarisation of the civil service and he has assured me that all soldiers employed in the civil service have returned to barracks,” Mr Tikoduadua said.
“He has also assured me that all arms that were used for personal protection of the former prime minister, former ministers, and the Chief Justice, have been accounted for and are back in the armory.”
Next week, Mr Tikoduadua will visit the RFMF headquarters at Berkeley Crescent and Queen Elizabeth Barracks at the invitation of the Commander.
