A 61-year- old woman charged for allegedly bullying two people online appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Appearing before Magistrate Peni Dalituicama, Tik Tok user Anis Khatoon was charged with two counts of causing harm by Posting Electronic Communication, contrary to section 24(1) and (2) (a) of the Online Safety Act, 2018.
Ms Khatoon was represented by Nadi lawyer Faizal Koya.
Her lawyer told the court he would be making submissions to the Online Safety Commission for a cross complaint by his client against the two accusers.
He said his client has been cooperating with police since her arrest on Sunday.
Ms Khatoon has been granted bail with a $500 bond.
Magistrate Dalituicama has ordered the Sydney resident not to interfere with prosecution witnesses and investigations.
The case has been adjourned to February 11.
