Three selected for 2017 Pacific Mini Games archery

ROBERT Elder, Fred and Lisa Liota will represent Fiji Archery at the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu at the end of the year.

World Archery Fiji secretary Ajay Ballu said it was a great competition between brothers Robert and Richard along with Fred.

“Lisa Liota and Marilyn Elder had a tough competition in the women’s compound competition,” he said.

“We had a good competition and we’re thankful for the beautiful weather and now that we have chosen our trio for the mini games they can concentrate on their preparation and will continue our competition.”

The association, Ballu said, had been part of Team Fiji to three Olympic Games.

“We went to the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece, the 2012 London Games and the Rio Olympic Games last year.”

Robert Elder, who secured a place at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil, has made his name again for the Port Vila Mini Games.
