Three men are in police custody following an aalleged fatal stabbing incident at Batinivuriwai Settlement, Wainunu, Bua, early yesterday morning.
Police say the victim was allegedly involved in a brawl at the settlement’s bus shelter before he was later found lying near the roadside with a stab wound to his chest.
He was rushed to the Wainunu Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigators are gathering additional statements from residents as part of the ongoing investigation.
