The round 16 of the Extra Premier League competition will be a crucial one as only three matches are scheduled to take place this weekend.

This is due to rescheduling to accommodate players on national duty with the Fiji Bula Boys.

The action kicks off on Friday evening at Churchill Park in Lautoka with Lautoka FC hosting the in-form Ba FC at 6pm.

Both teams will be looking to strengthen their positions in the top half of the table and secure valuable points.

On Saturday, two matches are set to take place. Nasinu FC will face Nadroga FC at Uprising Sports Centre in Pacific Harbour at 1pm, while Tavua FC will go head-to-head against Navua FC at 3pm at Garvey Park in Tavua.

Unfortunately, the matches between Labasa FC and Nadi FC, as well as Rewa FC and Suva FC, have been postponed due to national team commitments.

This decision was made as more than five players from both Labasa and Rewa were selected for the national squad traveling to Thailand for the 51st King’s Cup Challenge.

As the season enters its final stages, every point becomes crucial. Rewa FC currently leads the standings and will look to maintain its advantage once its deferred match is played.

Labasa FC and Lautoka FC are close behind, vying for the top spot.

Ba FC is in fourth place and will be looking to secure a top-three finish with a victory against Lautoka.

At the bottom of the table, Tavua FC is battling to avoid finishing without a win, while Nasinu FC and Nadroga FC are aiming to secure safety and climb higher in the mid-table.

The outcomes of the matches this weekend could have a significant impact on both the title race and the relegation battle.
