OPPOSITION Member of Parliament Faiyaz Koya has criticised the Government’s record over the past three years, claiming its tenure has been dominated by a cycle of appointments, suspensions, and investigations rather than effective governance.
Speaking in Parliament yesterday, Mr Koya said the pattern of decisions and reversals had created instability within government institutions.
“Let us look at what has actually dominated the life of this Government over the last three years – appointments, terminations, investigations, inquiries, and maybe some settlements,” he said.
“One week someone is appointed. The next week someone is suspended. The following week someone is removed. Then a commission of inquiry is established. Then the matter disappears. Then another appointment is made.”
He said the repeated changes and inquiries were creating confusion and uncertainty in governance.
“This is not governance. This is chaos.”
