The Sugar Industry Tribunal has confirmed that the third cane payment of $10.91 per tonne will be made to farmer.
This follows an additional $10.07 injection from Government after Fiji Sugar Corporation Ltd had indicated a payment of just $0.84 per tonne.
The Tribunal said the $10.91 per tonne will be paid out on April 20, 2026.
With this increase, the total cane payment for the 2025 season will now reach $68.04 per tonne.
The Tribunal also confirmed that the net share of cane proceeds received as of February 28, 2026 stands at $71.34 million.
Government has assured that arrangements to secure the additional funding will be completed before the payout date.
