Fiji’s Sebastian “The Sniper” Singh has been putting in solid training weeks in preparation for his upcoming fight against “King” Tonga Tongotongo in the IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title match next month.
Both fighters are to compete in the highly anticipated South Pacific Boxing event.
Singh said the three weeks of rigorous training had been beneficial, and he was confident in his team’s support leading up to the fight on October 26.
Despite recognising his opponent’s formidable skills and determination, Singh maintains his own self-belief and unwavering resolve to represent his country with pride in the ring.
“He’s a bull he is a maniac, and I know he’s coming to rip my head off, but I am not weary I am not afraid I don’t have any doubts in myself, I believe in myself,” said Singh.
“At the end of the day he’s got two hands, I got two hands he’s fought quality opponents, I fought quality opponents, and this is my country, no one’s going to come and overrule my nation.”
He expresses gratitude for the support and guidance of his coach, Joseph Kwadjo, whom he credits for his success in previous training camps.
“It all comes down to preparation, I understand, that’s why we are training very hard, tirelessly we are working hard, making sure we don’t leave any stones unturned.
“I’m very blessed to have Kwadjo (Joseph Kwadjo) they are training me, it’s my second camp with him.”
Singh issues a heartfelt invitation to come out in large numbers to witness the significant event.
He promises an exciting fight and encourages fans to show their support for him in what is expected to be a thrilling bout, assuring them that they will not be disappointed.
The event will be held at the King Charles Park in Nadi on October 26.
