Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has today written to the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection Lynda Tabuya to get an explanation from her on an alleged nude video of her circulating on social media.
When asked the question, Mr Rabuka posed the question to journalist “have you watched it.”
He added he has written to Minister Tabuya today.
“I have asked her to explain herself,” said Mr Rabuka.
Opposition Member of Parliament, Ketan Lal no one should ever have to go through such an ordeal where their personal videos or pictures (real or fake) are shared without consent.
“This is a violation of privacy and dignity, and such actions must be strongly condemned,” he said.
“While we call on Hon. Tabuya to address these claims and uphold the principles of accountability and transparency, we also emphasize that no individual deserves this kind of treatment.”
“It is not just unethical but also a reminder of the need for stronger laws to protect people from such violations.”
