Fans of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua living on New Zealand’s South Island will have the chance to meet the team when it faces the Crusaders in Christchurch tonight.
However, this is not the Fijian Drua’s only visit to the city as they will return for the Super Round where they face the Chiefs on April 25.
Last week, the team had urged its fans living in Auckland and its surrounding areas to come out in numbers and cheer on them when they faced the Blues last Saturday.
Tonight, the presence of the Drua’s fans in Christchurch might be the 16th player that can push them towards breaking their away game jinx against the defending champions of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Fijians living in New Zealand make up a large part of the population, totalling 68,829 people, according to the 2023 New Zealand census.
The match against the Crusaders kicks off at 6.05pm tonight.
