The Sugar Industry Tribunal has announced a tentative termination date for the 2025 sugarcane crushing season at the Rarawai Mill.
In a statement issued today, the Tribunal confirmed that the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) and the Sugar Cane Growers Council have agreed that Sunday, 11 January 2026 will serve as the provisional end date for the current crushing season at the mill.
The Tribunal noted that it will continue to closely monitor harvesting and crushing progress before finalising the official termination date.
A final order to end crushing operations at the Rarawai Mill will be issued seven days prior to the conclusion of the season, following further consultations with both the Fiji Sugar Corporation and the Sugar Cane Growers Council.
The announcement was signed by the Registrar of the Sugar Industry Tribunal.
