A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the rape of a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman, according to the January 2026 Rape and Sexual Offences Statistics released by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The juvenile is also facing two counts of criminal trespass and one count of indecently annoying a person.

The matter forms part of the ODPP’s latest monthly statistics, which outline rape and sexual offence cases filed in the High Court and Magistrates’ Courts during the reporting period.

The January report also detailed other serious sexual offence matters, including cases involving juveniles and incidents classified as domestic-related, where victims and accused persons were known to each other.

A 35-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 17-year-old stepdaughter, however, this matter was discontinued due to insufficient evidence.
A 24-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 20-year-old de facto partner.
In another incident, a 24-year-old man was charged with the rape and sexual assault of his 18 year-old stepsister, however, a Nolle Prosequi was filed to discontinue the matter after the victim could not be located or contacted before and during the trial dates.
