Technical issue forces Fiji Airways Christchurch-Nadi flight to divert to Auckland

Fiji Airways has issued a travel alert confirming that Flight FJ450, scheduled from Christchurch to Nadi yesterday was diverted to Auckland due to a technical issue with the aircraft.

The airline has arranged for a replacement aircraft to be dispatched to Auckland last evening to transport all affected passengers to Nadi.

The plane was a Boeing 737-808.

Additionally, Fiji Airways is making arrangements to ensure connecting passengers reach their final destinations as smoothly as possible.

Fiji Airways emphasized that the safety of its guests and crew remains the highest priority.

“We sincerely apologise for the disruption and appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding,” the airline stated in its official release.

The airline said it is actively communicating with impacted passengers, providing necessary support and updates.
