In an era where digital threat has evolved rapidly and impacting organisations across every industry, a global cybersecurity and antivirus software company – Bitdefender is focused on tackling digital threats in Fiji.
During the Bitdefender Cybersecurity event at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva yesterday, Bitdefender Regional sales director Saif Salman said they had collaborated with local partner GEM IT Solutions and distribution and the Blue-Chip Infotech to come to the Fijian market to deliver high level digital solutions to different clients.
He said they would get people trained, certified and share the knowledge to achieve greater results.
Mr Salman said they wanted to introduce their technology to the Fijian market and clients in the both the private and public sectors.
He also warned that cyber security was a global challenge and there was no country spared from it. “We are still in the beginning of the journey, but I believe that cyber security in general is a global challenge and there is no country saved from that challenge,” Mr Salman said.
“And there are a lot of things to be done and a lot of knowledge to be shared between us as a global cybersecurity provider and the Fijian customers.”
He said cyber security for different entities and individual was important for the sustainability and security of the people, society and the country in general.
