THE Golf Fiji Teams Championship wrapped up in style over the weekend, with top honours shared across grades after a successful tournament hosted at Nadi Airport Golf Club.
A total of 84 players took part in the championship, representing clubs from across the country.
Tournament organisers praised the host club’s executives, members and ground staff for presenting the course in excellent condition, helping deliver a smooth and competitive event.
In the premier A Grade competition, Fiji Golf Club secured first place with a total of 241, narrowly edging Ba Golf Club by just one shot on 242. Labasa Golf Club finished third with 250, followed by Natadola Golf Club (254), Nadi Golf Club (258), and Lautoka Golf Club (260).
Fiji Golf Club continued its strong showing in B Grade, winning with 262. Nadi Golf Club placed second with 269, while Labasa Golf Club (278), Ba Golf Club (281), Lautoka Golf Club (287) and Natadola Golf Club (306) followed.
Ba Golf Club claimed top honours in C Grade with a score of 300. Nadi Golf Club finished second with 305, while Labasa Golf Club and Fiji Golf Club shared third place on 312. Lautoka Golf Club placed fourth.
Fiji Golf Club also topped the Ladies and Juniors division with 294, ahead of Nadi Airport Golf Club on 305 and Ba Golf Club in third place.
All junior golfers received individual trophies in recognition of their participation, highlighting the continued growth and encouragement of young talent in the sport.
Golf Fiji provided lunch and green fees for all participants, while travelling allowances were also given to clubs.
In a statement, Golf Fiji described the championship as a major success and praised the strong turnout.
