The latest track map by the Fiji Meteorological Service indicates Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasa will make landfall in the Bua area before 8pm tonight.
Around that time, the cyclone centre is expected to be located about 90km West-southwest of Labasa.
A vast area of Vanua Levu will experience winds up to 240km/hr with momentary gusts to 345 km/hr
Vanua Levu has started experiencing gale force winds of 100km/ph.
The cyclone is moving east-southeast at about 13 knots or 24km/hr.
