A crucial objective for Tavua FC is to secure a victory on their home turf as they prepare to face Suva in the upcoming round four of the Extra Premier League competition.

Following defeats in their previous matches against Nadi and Labasa, the team is eager to clinch their inaugural win to enhance their prospects of qualifying for the Fiji Fact tournament.

Munindra Mudliar, the team president, has noted satisfactory progress in the team’s preparations over the past three days.

“From the first two matches, we have identified that we are lagging in certain factors such as fitness, discipline, and finishing. The coaching panel has been tirelessly working to get this sorted out,” said Mudiliar.

Going up against an experienced unbeaten Suva side, Tavua acknowledges the challenge ahead but remains steadfast in their quest for victory in their home fixtures.

“Suva is an experienced side, and they are unbeaten in the first 2 rounds, and they would be out there to give their absolute best against us.

Despite injuries to key players Abhishay Kumar and Tomasi Biautubu, the team is optimistic about their recovery and eventual return to the squad.

“The main concern is finance; we do not have any sponsor at the moment which makes it difficult to meet our operating expenses. I urge the business community and fans to rally behind the team.

“Our main aim is to win as this would give us hope to qualify for the Fiji Fact 2025 and bring in confidence to the team.”

Mudliar encourages fans to show up in force and play a crucial role in the team’s success by attending the game in large numbers.

Tavua FC will take on Suva at 3pm tomorrow at Garvey Park.
