TAVEUNI Palms is fast becoming the international hotel of choice after being recognised as the world’s leading Luxury Boutique Island Resort this year by World Travel Awards.
The hotel has also been recognised as a place of pure luxury by The Hotel Specialist a world renowned company that keeps track of luxurious hotel collections in the world.
Hotel owner Colleen O’Neill has attributed the success of the hotel to its biggest asset — the staff.
“We have been receiving a few awards from World Travel Awards and last year we w ere also recognised as Fiji’s leading resort,” she said.
“This year we are proud and happy to be receiving the world’s leading Luxury Boutique Island Resort for 2015 which is just extra special.
“We have always appreciated our staff and they make the difference when it comes to the image of the hotel.”
Ms O’Neill said the staff members at the hotel were outstanding and in a class of their own.
“They are born friendly naturally and it is an aspect of Fijian lifestyle that makes them stand out from the rest of the people in the world,” she said.
“For this year we will be focussing on keeping with the tradition and the signature services with which we are well known for.
“I am also proud to say at this point that the hotel has been having a lot of guest arrivals majority of which are repeated guests.”
Ms O’Neill said the hotel provided world-class environments for honeymoons, holidays, family getaways and is tailor-made for any type of guest.
Meanwhile Ms O’ Neill and her husband had just taken over the hotels operations after buying it from previous owners Kelly and Tony Ecland.
