CROWN Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa has launched its latest alcohol beverage addition, LARK Whisky (pictured), a partnership with the Motibhai Group of Companies.

Stewart Graham of LARK said it was an honour to introduce LARK Whisky to Fiji for the first time.

“Tasmania’s unique climate and natural purity shape every drop we create and sharing these expressions with such an engaged and curious audience at 17.78 Whisky Bar has been truly special. We look forward to building a long-term connection with Fiji’s growing community of whisky enthusiasts,” Mr Graham said during the launch event at the resort’s 17.78 Whisky Bar early this month.

Mr Graham also led an engaging whisky tasting experience for 29 guests, exploring the tasting notes, craftsmanship and inspirations behind the expressions introduced to the Fiji market. To complement the tasting, the resort’s culinary team prepared a curated selection of light bites designed to cleanse the palate and enhance the whisky experience. Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa general manager Sudhir Yadav said the resort was committed to offering elevated, world-class beverage experiences.

“Partnering with the Motibhai Group of Companies to bring one of Australia’s most respected whisky brands to Fiji is an exciting milestone,” Mr Yadav said.

“And we are proud that 17.78 Whisky Bar continues to lead the way in premium spirits culture in the region.”

Motibhai Group of Companies director Nilesh Patel said their partnership with LARK represented their commitment to brining exceptional, globally celebrated brands to Fiji.

“LARK’s craftsmanship, heritage, and innovative spirit align seamlessly with our mission to enhance the local beverage landscape.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Crowne Plaza Fiji to deliver this exclusive launch experience and introduce LARK Whisky to the Fiji market.” According to a statement from the resort, LARK Distilling Co, founded in 1992 by Bill and Lyn Lark, is Tasmania’s pioneering modern whisky distillery and a cornerstone of Australia’s single malt revival.

“Recognised as the first licensed distillery in Tasmania in more than 150 years, Lark is known for its craft-led production, use of Tasmanian peat, and the distinctive character of its single malts shaped by the island’s cool climate and pristine natural environment,” it stated.
