ST VINCENT College Year 11 student Eveueli Toia won a gold medal in the 3000m Open Boys division at the Tailevu Zone underway at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
Toia finished his run in a time of 10 minutes 10.34 seconds.
The Delakado Village athlete was overwhelmed after the win.
“It’s a great win for me. I trained hard but I didn’t think I will win. I thank God for this win,” Toia said.
