Tailevu wins as tourneys resume

FIJI Rugby’s provincial competition resumed this week with exciting matches following a one-week break.

Kicking off round four of the Skipper Cup was the clash between Malolo and Tailevu yesterday.

Tailevu edged out Malolo 22-21 in a nail biting encounter after leading 10-6 at halftime.

The remaining four fixtures will be played today with three scheduled for the west and one in the Capital City.

Nadi will face Farebrother holders Naitasiri at Churchill Park, Vatukoula will host Lautoka at Theodore Park while Nadroga will battle Ba at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Suva will play Macuata at the Suva Grammar School grounds.

All matches today are scheduled to start at 3pm while the under-21 fixtures will begin at 1pm.

The Subrails Marama Championship also continues today.

Two matches will be held at Lautoka’s Churchill Park before the men’s competition.

At 9.30am Yasawa will face Tailevu while Nadi and Naitasiri will meet at 11am.

Nasinu is set to challenge Suva for the Bosco Trophy at the SGS grounds at 11am.

Around the same time, Nadroga will host Kadavu at Lawaqa Park while at 1pm, Namosi will take on Lautoka at Thomson Park in Navua.
