Four men are in police custody following their arrest in connection with a burglary in Lakena, Nausori on Monday afternoon.
According to police, the group is alleged to have forcefully entered a private residence where the homeowner was also operating a small canteen.
During the break-in, cash and various items were allegedly stolen.
Acting swiftly, officers from the Eastern Division launched an investigation and pursued leads that led to a raid at a Suva motel yesterday morning.
All four suspects were apprehended during the operation, and the alleged stolen items were recovered.
Officers also seized suspected break-in tools and equipment found at the scene.
The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
