Suva welcomes Disney Wonder

Fiji recently welcomed the majestic vessel Disney Wonder on a visit to our shores for the first time.

The cruise liner brought with her more 2000 tourists who were accompanied by Captain Mickey from Disney World.

Disney Wonder is a cruise ship operated by Disney Cruise Line.

She was the second ship to join the Disney fleet in 1999 and is of the same class as Disney Magic.

The other three ships in the fleet are the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish.

Disney Wonder has 11 public decks, can accommodate 2400 passengers in 875 staterooms, and have a crew of approximately 950.

According to Disney Cruises Line, Disney Wonder is designed with families in mind,and its staterooms are equipped with innovations that ensure the ultimate in comfort and relaxation for guests of all ages.

In 2022, it was confirmed that Disney Wonder would establish a new itinerary called the South Pacific Cruise where she sails from Australia sailing to other parts of Oceania.

She will be in the Pacific in 2023 and return to Vancouver in March, 2024.

Ports of call in the 13-day South Pacific Cruise Honolulu include Hawai’i , Suva, Fiji, Nouméa, New Caledonia, Pago Pago, American Samoa and Sydney.

Part of its current cruise features sailing past the International Dateline.
