Suva Velvet delivered a solid netball performance to defeat Nasinu Celeste in the Under-11 tier one clash of the Crest Fiji Primary Schools Netball Tournament at Subrail Park in Labasa today.
The Suva side took control early in the match, leading 2-0 at halftime after a disciplined defensive effort kept Nasinu Celeste from scoring in the first spell.
Nasinu Celeste regrouped in the second half and managed to find the net twice, but Suva Velvet maintained their composure and stepped up their attacking play.
Suva extended their lead significantly, scoring five more goals to finish strongly.
At full time, Suva Velvet secured a comfortable 7-2 win, showing greater accuracy in shooting and stronger transitions through the court to seal the result.
