IT was a busy week of activity at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa, Suva as golfers were treated to competitions and friendly contests.
Yesterday, the club had a Stableford event, its first for the year and 60 golfers were out on the tee to strut their stuff.
On Friday, the club held its weekly Friday competitions, sponsored by food manufacturer Goodman Fielder.
There were 14 starters for the meet, with Eroni Mavoa scooping first prize with 20 points, Opetaia Ravai in second with 19 and Tom Managreve in third with 17 points.
The Friday meet took place at the front nine holes of the course.
On Wednesday, another competition was held, the Standss Beer Run meet with a starting list of 20 golfers and won by Ioane Sigarara with 19 points, Lewis Sahai in second with 18 and Eroni Mavoa scooping third with 17 points.
Competition took place at the back nine holes of the course.
The previous Friday, the Goodman-Fielder-sponsored weekly competition saw 34 starters take part, with George Nacewa finishing in first place with 39 points, Wilfred in second with 37 points.
