ROUND five in the second season of the 2025 Suva Netball Association’s Business House League was in full swing at the National Netball Centre in Laucala Bay on Tuesday night.

The Ministry of Housing netball team set the highest score in the round, winning 19-13 over Kelton Investment in their Pool Three match at court number four.

Meanwhile, competition has since intensified from its opening round, and the number of teams have since decreased, an indication of stronger corporate teams moving forward.

In round one, three courts were used for the fixtures as the Ministry of Health drew 13-all with Southern Education on court one.

In court two, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) lost 6-14 to the Water Authority of Fiji while the Ministry of Housing won by a narrow margin of 9-8 over Carpenters.

In round two, IHG beat the Australian High Commission 12-8 on court one, Nasinu Medics won 15-2 over Capital Insurance on court two and the Ministry of Housing drew 11-all with Recoveries Corporation Ltd (RCL).

Round three was a largely tough contest; Newworld IGA lost 8-11 to IHG, the Ministry of Health lost 6-12 to Southern Cross and the Nasinu Medics won 14-10 over FNU Nasinu.

As round four came about with the Housing Ministry winning over Kelton Investment, FNU Nasinu narrowly beat Capital Insurance 9-7, Nasinu Medics winning 18-11 over the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) and the Central Teachers won by default over the Australian High Commission.

Competition in the second set of matches for this round will be held tonight.
