STRATUM Constructions Nadi and Ravendra’s Transport Suva played to a nil-all draw in the opening match of the 2025 Extra Battle of the Giants.
Suva played well with numerous chances in both halves to get on the scoreboard, but the players couldn’t execute their finishing touches.
Their lack of finishing frustrated their coaching team, which was barking orders and reminders from the sideline.
Nadi goalkeeper Joela Biuvanua was also in good form as he made some crucial saves.
Nadi’s real chance came in the second spell when Rusiate Matarerega drove a straight ball through, but Suva goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva was on his toes to stop that attempt.
Biuvanua was also named the Extra Player of the Match.
Suva will meet Navua in its second match tomorrow while Nadi will take on Rewa.
