BURGER King Fiji has deepened its partnership with Fiji Rugby by becoming the associate sponsor of the Skipper XV ahead of their historic warm-up match against the Fijian Drua on February 6.

The match will feature top provincial players from this year’s Skipper Cup taking on the professional Drua side in a highly-anticipated pre-season fixture.

Burger King Fiji will have dual-sleeve branding on the Skipper XV jersey, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local rugby development.

Kavinesh Reddy, general manager of Burger King Fiji, said: “Rugby is an integral part of Fiji’s national identity, and Burger King Fiji remains firmly committed to supporting Fiji Rugby and the continued development of the sport at all levels.”

Fiji Rugby Union CEO Koli Sewabu welcomed the support.

“We are extremely grateful for Burger King Fiji’s ongoing commitment to Fiji Rugby and are proud to see them deepen that partnership by backing the Skipper XV for this historic match against the Fijian Drua.”

Sewabu added, “The Skipper Cup remains the heartbeat of our domestic game, and with partners like Burger King Fiji, we can continue to strengthen opportunities for our players and deliver world-class events for our fans.”

This match marks the first time the Drua face a locally-selected side in a formal pre-season game.
