IN renewing their partnership with the Fijian Drua for the next three seasons from this year until 2028, supermarket chain Shop N Save understood their support extended beyond a sponsorship.

Its chief executive officer, Nisheel Kisun, told the media their commitment extended beyond their support and laid out ways in which it maximised in a fruitful manner.

“Our commitment goes beyond sponsorship; it’s about investing in national institutions, supporting local talent and ensuring that the success of Fijian sport is matched by strong corporate partnerships rooted in our shared long-term vision and values,” Kisun said.

The two parties also renewed the naming rights sponsorship of the competition, meaning it will continue to be known as the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific in Fiji.

Shop N Save and the Fijian Drua put pen to paper at the Matua Room of the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva yesterday to extend a partnership both parties have since benefitted from.

“Since the inception of the partnership, we have witnessed the Drua grow into a formidable force within the Super Rugby Pacific competition, whilst inspiring young athletes and fans at every level,” Kisun told the media.

These sentiments were echoed by Fijian Drua CEO Jeff Miller.

“I made sure that we were down here because it’s such an important partnership for us,” Miller said.

“We could not do this without the support of companies like Shop N Save, it’s important for the Drua and our performances that we’ve got the support of companies like this.”

He added the renewal was a timely opportunity to amplify excitement ahead of the start of a new season.

Meanwhile, Shop N Save entered the Drua Vuvale in 2022 as a major sponsor with prominent display on matchday kits, and then became naming rights sponsor a year later.
