A young Island Magic Daveta pack made a perfect start at home earlier today as they surprised Jerry Tuwai’s star-studded Heart Barbarians side 17-12 at the Fun Flavour Super 7s Series underway at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park.
The Barbarians boasted big names such as Semi Kunatani, Manueli Maisamoa, Kamenieli Rasaku and Vatemo Ravouvou.
However, the Barbarians made a comeback in its second pool game to defeat Wadigi Salvo of Yasawa 26-5 to keep it campaign alive.
Raiwasa Taveuni also made a comfortable start with a 17-5 victory over Nawaka while Ratu Filise ran over Uluinakau 17-7.
