THE 2026 Vodafone Rakiraki Carnival brought together hundreds of people within the Ra Province for a week-long fiesta that ended with the crowning of Miss Waqatabu Handicraft Vasenai Tabu Talakuli as Miss Rakiraki 2026 on Saturday night.
Major sponsor of the carnival, Vodafone Fiji, praised the community for the success and for using the platform to raise awareness on important socioeconomic issues.
Vodafone Fiji head of recharge and distribution Nilesh Singh acknowledged the event organisers for their efforts.
“A heartfelt thank you to the Rakiraki Carnival committee, our dedicated volunteers, stall holders, and the families and friends who supported this year’s contestants. Whether serving as chaperones, perfecting stage performances, or designing incredible outfits, your hard work and dedication have paid off,” he said.
“Thank you all for a job well done.
“The teamwork that brought this week to life aligns wonderfully with this year’s theme, reminding us of our shared purpose as a community; ‘Stronger together: Strengthening families and social cohesion for a sustainable future’.”
