The annual East vs West golf tournament teed off yesterday at the FSC Ba Golf Club, drawing a strong turnout of 64 players.
Organised by Golf Fiji, the one-day tournament featured competitors across A, B, and C grades, as well as ladies and junior divisions.
The event was hailed a success by Golf Fiji vice president Avinesh Datt, who acknowledged the efforts of all participants and praised the course condition.
“We had a good turnout from both the East and West. The course was in great condition and the weather was perfect for play,” Datt said.
He added that it was encouraging to see juniors taking part in the event.
“It’s always good to see our younger players competing they will be our future national reps,” he said.
Despite the scorching Ba heat, golfers showcased impressive skills and sportsmanship throughout the day, reaffirming the tournament’s reputation as one of the key events on the domestic golfing calendar.
