THE darling of Fiji’s fashion scene, Phillipa Steele’s professionalism and work ethic is attracting more modelling agencies.
The girl from Kulukulu in Sigatoka recently signed a three-year contract with Independent Models in Milan, Italy, and Storm in London.
Her manager, Natalie Marletta, confirmed that both contracts were secured by her Trump Models agent in New York.
“These two agencies are very highly recognised in the industry,” she said.
“Phillipa is overwhelmed by the opportunity not only to be signed with some of the world’s top agencies, but the opportunity it gives her to travel the world.
“Most young girls at an early age have dreams of becoming a model and travelling the world.
Italy is such a beautiful country and to be able to work in Milan is truly amazing.”
Ms Marletta said Phillipa would be in Milan until the end of the year.
“Her days are busy with attending castings and go sees, for some big names like Italian Vogue,” she said.
“We are in talks with two other well-known agencies which are very interested in signing her.
“Phillipa has a very unique look and a fantastic work ethic. Clients are consistently commenting on how professional Phillipa is.”
The model was in Fiji recently and returned to catwalk duties last month.
