THE stage is set for the first boxing promotion of the year dubbed as the ‘Fight of the Decade’.

Presented by South Pacific Boxing Promotions, the program will feature two title fights, one of which is for an international title.

Fiji light heavyweight champion Savenaca Naliva will step into the ring to face Alivereti Kauyaca for the Pro Box Pacific Cruiserweight title.

Pro Box is a commissioning body in New Zealand which was established in 2021. In 2018 Pro Box NZ created a new title for the region called the Pro Box Pacific titles for the various weight categories.

In the other title clash Ronald Singh will take on Nathan Singh for the Fijian Super Lightweight crown.

The program will feature other big names like Fiji heavyweight champion James Singh, Sebastian Singh, Abhay Chand, Jese Ravudi, Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana and Filimoni Naliva Jr.

South Pacific Boxing Promotions promoter/matchmaker Fredy Chand said they had been keeping tabs on all the boxers regarding their weight as signed in their contracts.

Chand said the tickets were selling fast especially for the ringside which had limited seating. “There will be 12 fights in total including four exhibition bouts,” he said.

“The main title fight between Savenaca and Alivereti will be a cracker since both boxers are unbeaten on home soil.”

The program starts at 2pm.

Tickets: $30 (ringside), $20 (grandstand-adults), $10 (grandstand-children).
