Pacific Games trials
AN open trials to select an extended squad for the Pacific Games will be held on Friday and Saturday. For Suva-based players, it will be held at the USP gym on Friday, starting with the women’s at 6pm, followed by the men from 8-10pm. THESE players are to report to camp at the regional academy on Sunday, January 11 before 5pm.
Players are to bring in their own eating utensils (plate/bowl/spoon). Lautoka Futsal
THE Sigatoka Electric Limited/Supercool Refrigeration Limited sponsored open/veterans futsal league will start from January 28 at the South Seas Club & Family Park in Lautoka. The competition will run for six weeks with pool matches played under floodlights during weekdays. Entry closes on January 21. Pool draws will be done on January 24 at 6pm followed by cocktail. Open Division (24 teams): Entry fees: $250. Prize money: $1000 (winner), $500 (runner-up), 3rd place ($300), 4th place ($250). Veterans Division (over-35 years, 12 teams): Entry fees: $150. TOURNAMENT will be held at Thomson Park in Navua on January 10. Registration fee is 80 per team. Only first 16 teams will be accommodated. Winner $400 runner-up $200 semi-finalist $75 and best dress and best player receive salad bowl shield. There are also other prizes that will be awarded for the players. Nakakasara/Danudanu Youth 7s
THE NewWorld Nakakasara/Danudanu 7s tournament will be held at Burebasaga District School ground on January 16-17, 2015. Competition for under-20, under-17 and women’s rugby 7s. U20 registration fee is $150 and first 24 teams to pay in full will be accommodated. Cup winner $1000, runner-up $400; losing semi-finalists $120 each; plate winner $100, runner-up $80; bowl winner $80, runner-up $50.
U17 registration fee is $100, first 16 teams to pay in full will be accommodated. Cup winner walks away with $500, runner-up $200, losing semi-finalists gets $100 each. Cash prizes also for plate finalists. Best players for both categories will receive $50 each.
Accepted forms of IDs include FSSRU, FSSRL, Voter IDs, FNPF, FNU, USP and school IDs with monogram. No BC will be accepted.

Red Rock 7s
THE Red Rock rugby club is organising a series of 7s tournament building up to its main tournament on February, 27-28. Top eight teams from both the series will qualify to the main Red Rock 7s 2015 with the total prizemoney of more than $20,000 up for grab.
Qualifier 1
THE first round of series will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on January 16-17. First 32 teams to fully pay their registration fee of $500 will be accommodated. Top eight teams will qualify to the main Red Rock 7s tournament. Cup Winner walks away with $2000 cup, runner-up $1000. Player of the tournament walks away with $200 Digicel Free Credit.
Qualifier 2:
THE second round of series will be held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on February 13-14. First 32 teams to fully pay their Registration fee of $500 will be accommodated. Top eight teams will qualify to the main Red Rock 7s tournament. Cup Winner walks away with $2000 Cup, runner-up $1000. Player of the tournament walks away with $200 Digicel Free Credit.
U20
