THE Ra Sovereign Christian State was deemed spiritual in nature and not one that would contend with the current government.
This, according to the caution interview of Josefa Natau, one of 16 people standing trial for sedition at the High Court in Lautoka this week.
Mr Natau and 15 others are accused of trying to establish the Christian state by swearing an oath of allegiance to the separatist movement and discussing plans to formulate their own government.
Detective Suliasi Dulaki, the policeman who witnessed Mr Natau’s interview in 2014, read out the accused’s statement yesterday while taking the stand as a State witness.
