SODELPA has set requirements for candidates wishing to contest the next General Election.
Apart from the requirements in the Electoral Act 2014, party leader Aseri Radrodro said the party had put together certain requirements in order for candidates to qualify to represent SODELPA.
“The specific requirements are important to ensure that the party nominates relevant qualified applicants that possess relevant skill sets, sectoral knowledge and experience, innovative and of good character,” Mr Radrodro said.
“They are to also have the willingness to serve and deliver to the people of Fiji.”
The party also launched its new website, aimed at allowing members to access information about the party.
Mr Radrodro said the website would also have a special, newly introduced online candidate application portal.
“This will enable aspiring leaders across Fiji to apply online to represent SODELPA in future elections.
“This initiative promotes accessibility and fairness by opening the candidate selection process to all qualified Fijians, regardless of location or background.”
