EID is an Arabic word for “festival” or “holiday”. There are two major Eids or holidays that are celebrated by Muslims worldwide — one is called Eid ul-Fitr — the Festival of Breaking Fast, and another one is Eid ul-Adha — the Festival of the Sacrifice. Both of these holidays include prayer and charity towards the poor but they are also days of celebration with family and friends.
Eid ul-Fitr means “Festival of the Breaking the Fast,” and occurs on the first day of the lunar month Shawwal, after the fasting month of Ramadan.
Muslims gather to watch the moon, and celebrate once the local religious figures declare that Eid has begun. Buying new clothes for this event is a widespread tradition and those who can’t afford to will still make an effort to look their best. Muslim women often decorate themselves with henna the night before Eid and men are encouraged to wear perfume or cologne.
MHCC fashion is showcasing a wide range collection of affordable salwar kameez for children and ladies who want to look their best in a less expensive manner. You can also find jewellery, fashion accessories and cosmetics to complement their dresses.
