Special awards for the Stallions

BLK Nadroga head coach Esala Nauga added another title to his colourful coaching career after being named the Nadroga Coach of the Year during the team’s awards day and celebration at Cuvu Village yesterday.

The former Flying Fijian has also engraved his name in the Fiji rugby history book as one of the most successful coaches to ever graze our shores.

Nauga guided Nadroga team to win the HFC Bank Farebrother trophy and the Skipper Cup before helping Army to win the Sukuna Bowl.

He also guided his village team Tovolea to win the Nadroga Top 14 competition and the Kalevu Shield and recently led Tovolea to win the Coastal Great 8 7s.

Nadroga fullback Apisalome Waqatabu was named the player of the year while former national rep Kavekini Nalaga was named the best official of the year.
