South Sea Cruises appoints new CEO

Update: 8:08PM BRAD Rutherford has been appointed the new CEO for the South Sea Cruises Group of Fiji.

Mr Rutherford, a Fijian citizen, has spent his entire career in the tourism sector and has a deep knowledge and understanding of the tourism industry, particularly across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

The last eight years of his career has been in Fiji where he has essentially run the same business under numerous owners, most recently the helloworld Group.

“I am looking forward to the challenge. South Sea Cruises is a pivotal company to the Fijian tourism industry with a broad range of products across different sectors,” Mr Rutherford said.

“They also have some exciting development plans so it is a great time to be coming into the business.”

He will join the company later in December.

South Sea Cruises Group encompasses South Sea Cruises, Blue Lagoon Cruises, Awesome Adventures Fiji, and Vinaka Fiji.

The company owned by Fijian Holdings Limited employs 240 staff and is based in Port Denarau.
