FIJI’S textile and clothing industry stakeholders will be part of an international sourcing expo which will be held in Sydney, Australia from Tuesday to Thursday next week.
The Australian International Sourcing Expo 2017 will give the representatives of the textile industry a platform to showcase the country’s growing industry and garner new business.
Textile Clothing and Footwear Council of Fiji president Mike Towler said United Apparel, Ranjit Garments, Danam (Fiji) Ltd and Nagsun Apparel representatives would be at the expo.
“This is the largest and most prominent trade show for the garment industry in the southern hemisphere and it gives us significant exposure to not only customers in the Australian marketplace but it also allows us to be in contact with many raw material suppliers under the one roof and at the same time,” Mr Towler said.
This is the fifth year that the group of manufacturers from Fiji are participating in this trade show.
Mr Towler said one of the benefits of being part of the trade expo meant exposure to a broad range of customers and suppliers.
“Every year the individual participants pick up new customers at this show.
“The Fiji TCF industry is only able to participate in this show with the support and assistance from the Government of Fiji,” he said.
